What I’ve seen over the years, again and again, is that the business owners who are absolutely and totally committed to truly serving their audience — seeing them as more than just dollar signs or a means to hit a monthly revenue goal — are the ones who absolutely bury their competition.

Their great secret to success? They structure the entire customer getting journey in a way that makes it super easy for prospects to choose them over the competition.

Here’s the thing: you need to understand what that competition really is, because it’s not who (or what) you think.

Who’s your real competition?

When you read that question, what comes to mind? If you’re like most people, you think of people or business offering something similar to you, in a similar niche or industry.

And like most people, you’d be wrong about that.

The truth is that, the majority of the time, your biggest competition — the most critical threat to your success — is your potential customer or client choosing to DO NOTHING!

Yes, they actually need the help. They know it’s the right call.

But they choose to do nothing.

It’s terribly self-destructive, sure, but the cause is powerful — a lack of confidence in themselves. Fear that they’ll never be able to get the result they’re after.

And if you’re not communicating and positioning yourself and your business in a way that allows them to gain confidence in themselves….

If you don’t work to convince and prove to them that they can do this, and that you are the only one who can help them get there…

…they will usually choose to sit on their hands and self-destruct.
